01 — MISSION

MADE FOR SHADE. AND THE PLANET

Sustainability and protecting our planet’s natural beauty has been on the forefront of Sunday Supply Co.’s mission since our inception in 2015. We are the result of a lifetime chasing the perfect beach day, and want to protect the pristine coastal landscapes we aspire to spend our days on for generations to come.

While we recognise that we are not perfect, we are committed to taking steps wherever possible to minimise our environmental impact and work with a considered and conscious approach in everything we do.

  • RPET FABRIC

Made using our signature recycled fabric; our umbrella canopies are made from 100% recycled plastic waste. Taking trash from our oceans and creating a one of a kind design that is still strong, durable and UPF50+.

  • TIMBER

100% of the timber used in our Umbrella Poles is from certified sustainable sources and has maintained a chain of custody accreditation under FSC®.

  • COTTON

We exclusively use BCI Cotton. Our towelling range used across our Cooler Bags, Beach Bags, Beach Hats, Accessory Pouches and more is all ethically sourced by our BCI Cotton approved suppliers which offer the highest standard for cotton production and farming.

  • BAMBOO

Our handy Sand Spade included in all Beach Umbrella orders is BPA free, biodegradable and made from 65% bamboo, 20% corn starch, 15% resin.

  • PAPER

We use a non-treated and non-waxed cardboard packaging that is sealed with gummed paper tape. A design that is biodegradable and easily recyclable with no harmful chemicals.

  • DYES

Branding on our packaging has been stamped using vegetable dyes to avoid chemicals and plastics where possible.

  • CORNSTARCH

Our small goods are all packaged in an environmentally friendly corn-starch bag that is completely biodegradable. We are committed to no single use plastics used in our products or packaging.

  • ALUMINIUM

Use of recyclable aluminium in our sunscreen tubes and umbrella/chairs ensure no plastics are in our product range.

  • ZINC

Our all natural sunscreen is SPF50+ in protection and reef safe. Made from non-nano zinc oxide it is free from harmful chemicals that can damage your skin and the ocean.

03 — IMPACT

SUSTAINABILITY FROM
THE GROUND UP

We understand that sustainability doesn’t just end with our product design and we work to create eco-friendly practices across all aspects of our business relationships. All our products are shipped globally in eco-friendly packaging direct from us to your front door in the most eco-conscious way possible. We work exclusively with OEKO-TEX® certified manufacturers and warehouses that have gone through rigorous testing processes. And we  continue to create local supply chains within our worldwide shipping to avoid long travel distances and global emissions. This contributes to less fuel consumption for delivery and a more sustainable way of operation.

04 — RECYCLE

REPAIRS NOT REPLACEMENTS

Our products are made to last a lifetime under the sun. We want you to enjoy your Beach Umbrellas and Beach Chairs for summers to come, and have started to offer more spare parts to assist in minor repairs for your sturdy essentials. By offering these affordable and efficient extras we can help minimise our environmental impact through less shipping, manufacturing and land-fill. We encourage our customers to fix rather than throw away by offering replacement cushions, poles, hinges, straps, spades and more.

05 — Contribution

COMMITMENTS TO COMMUNITY

We have partnered with Take 3 For The Sea to continue working towards cleaner beaches and oceans. Our team based in our head office of Byron Bay takes part in local beach clean days and we are excited to continue working with like-minded charity partners to remove plastic from our oceans.  We would also like to acknowledge the ancestors and traditional custodians of the land on which we live, love, work and play, the Arakwal People of the Bundjalung Nation and pay our respects to elders past present and emerging.
